The 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan is a 2020 Top Safety Pick Plus. It received a Good score on all crashworthiness categories and headlights, provided you get the adaptive LED headlights (Good is the highest score). Without the adaptive headlights, the C-Class sedan only gets an Acceptable headlight rating. In the IIHS' front crash prevention test, the C-Class sedan received a Superior rating for avoiding an impact in 12- and 25-mph tests (Superior is the highest score). However, the standard system wasn't able to completely avoid a collision with a pedestrian.
