Inside, the M-Class is attractive, and it features user-friendly tech and provides a lot of space for people and gear alike.The 2015 M-Class has high safety scores for the class. It earned the highest possible score of Good in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests and was named a 2015 IIHS Top Safety Pick+, which is the institute’s highest accolade. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the M-Class an overall rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the frontal and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover test.The 2015 Mercedes M-Class is available with four powertrains that range from a 200-horsepower four-cylinder diesel engine to a 518-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 in the AMG model. All engines come with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard with the base Mercedes-Benz M-Class ML 350 model, and all other models have 4Matic all-wheel drive.<br />The base ML 350 delivers decent power and acceleration for daily driving, but the twin-turbo V6 in the ML 400 is more responsive. Although the diesel M-Class makes much less horsepower, its torque gets you moving quickly. The performance-oriented AMG model, in comparison, could knock your socks off with its power and acceleration. However, driving dynamics in the M-Class are focused on comfort rather than performance. Handling isn't particularly agile, and the steering can feel light, but you'll be treated to a mostly soft, comfortable ride.</p>
