The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, resting above the 2 Series, 3 Series, and 5 Series in the Bavarian automaker's lineup of four-doors. The current sixth-gen car was introduced for the 2020 model year, and 2020 marks its mid-cycle refresh featuring revised styling, updated powertrains, and a plug-in hybrid that's gained a couple cylinders. It competes with other luxury makers' flagship sedans, including the longtime benchmark, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, as well as the Audi A8, Lexus LS, and Genesis G90.
